Rule:
The rules govrning this game of golf shall be those currently
adopted by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Adrew,
unless otherwise modified by the Local Rules.
HAZARDS (Rule 26)
Yellow stakes for water hazards, Red stakes for lateral warer
hazards. White stakes for out of bounds (beyond the white
stakes on the left of hole 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 7and 8 beyond the
white stakes on the right of holes 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16.)
EMBEDDED BALL (Rule 25-2)
Except in a hazard, a ball embedded in its own pitch mark
"through-the-green" may be lifted without penalty,
cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but
not nearer to the hole.
OBSTRUCTIONS - FREE LIFT (Rule 24)
On any roadway, pathway, flowerbed, exposed tree roots, tyre
marks, rubber mats, sprinkler head, drainage sumps or gratings,
control valves, ground marked with GUR sings or white paint;
Around any young trees marked with color stakes; Edging grooves
around the shoulder of greens; For wooden support in bunkers
of holes 7, 13 and 15 player may take relief of on clb-length,
not nearer to the hole, outside the obstruction. |

IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTION (Rule 24-2)
Includes all kiosks, bridges, control boxes, sprinkler heads, distance markers, tee sign & manhole covers.
PUTTING ON GREEN
Only putters may be used on the greens. A player may take relief if he does not have a putting line to the pin, when his ball lies on the green. Ball is to be placed at nearest point of relief, no nearer to the hole, where he has a putting line to the pin.
DROP AREA
Use drop areas on holes 13, 14, and 17.
ETIQUETTE
Please ensure that bunkers are raked, divots replaced with sand and pitchmarks repaired.
Please keep the golf course and tidy. Do observe our marshals' request.
All distance are measure in yards. Yardage markers on the course are to the middle of the green. |
